MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

SORRY...we are boring today

All of our internets have been broken until now and mommy could not make a posty for me yesterday. Even Lapdaddy couldn't help fix it and he can fix anything...sometimes it is hard to rely on technical things too much. We are getting better at being patient. At least our TV was working so the beans could watch the new Ken Burns series on NATIONAL PARKS. We love his fascinating documentaries and learning about history is important and all that is being done to keep it alive for the future.
The garden kitties are all still here and doing well. Scrappy Cat is finally putting on some weight and her little black kittens are growing too. Hunny Bunny and her still have 'meowz' many times and I just wish those girls would get along and learn to share. This evening they all got a plate of chopped ham... Mommy bought four large bags of cat kibble today because they sure eat alot. It will be getting colder soon at night. I am still not coming into the house, but I am not sleeping in the litter girls box right now. I am glad I have a nice warm bed to sleep in next to the cozy warmth of the blowy thing from under the cold box in the garage.

CAT ART SUNDAY this & that

Do you love to read? We read bedtime stories to Cole when he spends the night. Ocher is one of my favorite colors...
Do you like to read spooky stories? Cats make great detectives!

Here are mommy and Lapdaddy in their outfits they wore during formal night on the big ship. Lapdaddy looked so handsome in his new Perry Ellis tuxedo. Mommy bought her gray velvet dress in a second hand shop on the Oregon coast for only $12!!! It fits her purrrfectly and looked pretty good with her old beaded jacket she paired it up with. Sometimes you just have to use what you have and make it work.
Here I am enjoying the box Luna's mommy sent us for a swap we did. I love the box because it fits me purrrfectly. Don't you think the little kitty charm looks like me? I am lucky to have such nice friends who send me pretty German trinkets.
Lapdaddy gets the final word today. Here he is designing something very special, but not for me. Maybe you can bigify the picture and take a guess what it might be?

Wishing all of my dear friends a beautiful Sunday. Please remember to always be kinder to others than they are to you...it is a good thing to do because their battles might be greater than yours.

A DAY IN SKAGWAY ALASKA...

While I get ready to teleport over the SWEET PRALINE's house for her 14th birthday slumber party, I thought I would show you some of the sights of Skagway Alaska. This fun old gold mining town was the second port stop. It was so warm that the beans took off their jackets and enjoyed the sunny sky's while they wandered through the quaint town. Skagway...old gold mining town...
Getting around town.....
Fun places to sit around town...
Vintage architecture around town...
Now pack your favorite blankie and your jammies, grab some Party Mix and head over to SWEET PRALINE's 14th birthday slumber party! See you there...

JUNEAU THE CAPITAL OF ALASKA?

The first port of call in Alaska was it's capitol Juneau. It is the only capitol city that can not be driven to...no streets lead to it! You must take a float plane or a ship to get to it. Behind the beans you can see another Princess ship in the bay. It was a beautiful sunny day and the magic mist was hanging low over all the land. The first day I was home again, I found myself a new place to sleep.
It is warm and sunny...just the way I like it.
Close to my Lapdaddy so he can scritchy my ears when I meow for his attention.
Do you think I look a little bit like I was sitting inside a kangaroo's pouch? I just hope Lapdaddy doesn't forget I am in here when he drops his book back down inside.
Mommy liked the contrast of the two sailing vessels in this photo. We hope you enjoy the sights and sounds of Alaska....

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!!!

Hello everyone! It is so good to be home once again...I have missed you all so much! Mommy and Lapdaddy had a wonderful cruise to Alaska but are very happy to be back in their own bed. The bed on the ship left a lot to be desired and they both have the most sore backs ever. The weather in Juneau and Skagway was short sleeves and sunny...a little rain in Ketchikan, but is the rain capital of Alaska so it was to be expected. The food on the ship was wonderful and the coffee the best we have ever had. Coffee is important to the beans for some reason. The service was flawless and the evening shows were top notch Las Vegas style. Mommy still packed too much clothes as always...she never learns. But they did relax more than ever and ate and spent less this trip. Their ship was the Golden Princess and they recommend Princess ships to anyone considering a cruise. With 2500 passengers on board there was never a wait for anything. They still prefer the Holland America Lines better because there are a few more quieter places around the ship to sit and read during the day. The Holland America ship Amsterdam left Ketchikan at the same time as the Golden Princess, heading to Victoria BC. The seas were very rough and the beans felt like a James Bond martini all during the night...shaken not stirred! Somehow during the day we lost the race and the Amsterdam beat us into dock aft side first! I am just glad we are all home again so I can find myself some new places to sleep around the cozy cottage! Last night I slept inside the warm dryer after mommy finished the laundry. We will share some picture of the trip with you this week. Below is the Seattle Space Needle as we were sailing away under a sunny blue sky...

FUN ON FRIDAY...

Since I will not be here on Cat Art Sunday, I am showing you some of the pretty ATC's that came from mommies friend Anja in Germany, who is Nelly's mommy. She knows I am getting married to Mickey and made these specially for me! I think they are delightful! I have some plans to make with my beloved...they involve white lace and romance... I am all ready for my teleporting over to Mickey's island for the week while the beans are off to Alaska...Please don't forget me while I am away. I will miss you very much...
Oh so warm and cozy. If you ever get a chance to get one of Miss Peggy's hairy blankets, you are in for the treat of a lifetime!
So here you can see what I did with the mousie I got from Luna. I shared it with our Buddy cat. He has never had anything to play with before in his life. As you can see, he was very gentle with it and I got it back in one piece. I am glad Buddy had a chance to play...

09~09~09 NEIN NEIN NEIN NO NO NO

OH NO!!! This date is 09~09~09! That means nein nein nein in German, or no no no. That is exactly what happened last night to me. Could I get on to my computer? NO. Could I make a blog post? NO. Could I visit any of my dear friends? NO! But today my Lapdaddy fixed it for us so we can post after all. Better late than never...so here is our picture. This is me saying, "NO!" to the Elusive kitten of Hunny Bunny. We still do not know if it is a boy or girl cat because it runs from us all the time. But it is curious and always stops by and meowz at me. I think it wants to be friends with me, but I don't want to yet. I think it was just nosy to see what I got from my friend Luna in Germany. Her kidbean Max sent me some catnip and a handfelted mousie. I know you might think that I am stingy, but come back Friday and see what I did with the mousie...Friday will be my last day posting for a week because my beans will be sailing on a big ship from Seattle to Alaska. I will teleport over to my beloved Mickey and spend the week making our wedding plans for October.

WHICH SLEEP SPOT WOULD YOU PICK?

The fancy dreamy yards and yards of lace bed? Miss Peggy's super cool hairy blanket? (Mommy picks this one hands down! We also have another hairy blanket on order just in time for the chilly fall weather! Thank you Miss Peggy!)
Or the wicker kitty basket with the chenille pillow?

All of these spots are better than the litter girls box and even the hard frying pan. They say that variety is the spice of life...mommy thinks I am over spiced! I hope you are enjoying the long Labor Day weekend. Soon the quiet time will begin when we get those cozy nesting feelings...

CAT ART SUNDAY

This beautiful paper toile cat card was made by Pincess Dilly's mommy Helena who lives in England! We love getting Royal Mail because it is always special! She also sent us the 'three little kittens'. They are playing in the garden...looks like our garden that is getting trashed by the Scrappy Cat crew.
Helena also sent these lovely note cards she made from her original drawing. So much talent...
Mommy made this ATC for a swap...
This fabric card came all the way from Kansas from Miss Janet and the Broadway troop...she said it reminded her of me... Hey mommy why don't I ever get to play with bluebirds!!?
This fluffy kitty came from Barbara Simpson in CATifornia...do they have two suns there?

I hope you enjoyed this Sunday's cat art...it is always fun to share the art that comes from near and far with you each week. I wish each of you a wonderful week full of happy moments. I will be happy when Mickey's computer works again...I miss him. Thank you for your sweet visits all week. They mean so much to me.

FRIDAY IN THE CHAMBER POT...

Mommy doesn't want me to sleep in my litter girls room box anymore!
So I picked a new place...
It is warm in the sunshine and it smells good...
Kinda comfy too...
Yes, this will make a purrrrfect napping spot...good night everyone...
I am not the only cat who like to sleep in pots...I am lucky to have mine. My dear friend, and future bridesmaid, Huffle Mawson no longer has her parsley pot to sleep in. Please visit Angus Mohr's blog today and see his petition to help Huffle get her pot back!

EXTREMELY EXTREME!

My registered name is COVERGIRL...but they call me Miss Peach. I used to sleep in this frying pan...but now it is my drinking bowl...
I used to sleep on this luxury faux leopard fleece...but now I sleep in the litter girls room! To say I am an eccentric cat is an understatement. None the less, mommy is very proud of me today because I am being featured as the CAT OF THE DAY. What would they say if they saw me in my toilet? I guess I just like the smell of fresh Fresh Step....
